1. Who we are

Technical Services and Engineering Supplies, trading as TechEng, of 64 Gulf Ridge Circular, Dow Village, South Oropouche, Trinidad and Tobago. Contact us at techeng1995@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address. For international orders, a description of the contents for customs.

When you create an account: your name, email, phone and a password. Your password is scrambled before it is stored using one-way encryption. Nobody at TechEng can read your password, and we could not tell you what it is even if you asked.

When you send us artwork or photographs: the files you upload, so we can quote for and produce your engraving.

When you use the site: your cart, your currency preference and whether you prefer the light or dark theme. These are kept in your own browser.

If you pin your location on the map at checkout: the map position you choose, so the courier can find your door. This is optional. Nothing is read from your device unless you press "Use my current location" and your browser asks you and you allow it.

What we never see: your full card number. Card payments are handled on the payment provider's own secure page. Card details never pass through this website.

3. Why we hold it

• to make your order and send you a proof
• to deliver it and let you track it
• to email you about your order and answer your questions
• to keep proper business and tax records
• to send you offers, only if you asked us to

4. Who else touches your information

We use a small number of services to run the shop. Each sees only what it needs:

• Supabase, our database and account system, stores your order and account details on servers in the United States
• Netlify hosts the website
• Resend delivers our emails to you
• OpenStreetMap supplies the map and the address look-up in the checkout. It is only contacted if you open the map, and it receives the map area you are viewing and the place you search for or pin. It does not receive your name, email or order.
• WiPay and PayPal process card payments on their own systems
• Our delivery couriers, locally and DHL overseas, receive the details needed to bring you your parcel. That is your name, phone number and address, and nothing about what you paid.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. Because some of these providers operate outside Trinidad and Tobago, your information may be stored on servers abroad.

5. Your artwork and photographs

Files you upload are stored privately and used only to produce your order. They are not public, not shared, and not used to make anything for anyone else.

If we would like to show a finished piece in our gallery or on social media, we will ask you first. You are free to say no.

6. How long we keep things

Order records are kept for at least 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting rules. Account details are kept while your account exists. Artwork is kept while your order is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you reorder.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete your account and personal details, subject to records we must keep by law
• stop sending you marketing emails, at any time

8. Keeping it safe

The whole site runs over an encrypted connection. Passwords are hashed. Uploaded files are held in private storage. Our database enforces its own permission rules, so one customer cannot see another customer's orders even if they try. Only staff accounts can reach the admin dashboard.

No system is perfect. If information is ever exposed in a way that could affect you, we will tell you.

9. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site keeps a few things in your own browser so it works properly: your cart, your currency and theme choice, and a sign-in token if you are logged in. Clearing your browser data removes them.

10. Children

This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will remove them.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes affecting your orders will be emailed to you.
