Terms of service.
Last updated 5 September 2026
The short version. Order from us and we make your piece to the proof you approve. You confirm you have the right to use the artwork you send. Prices are in Trinidad and Tobago dollars. Personalised work is final once approved.
1. Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Technical Services and Engineering Supplies, trading as TechEng, of 64 Gulf Ridge Circular, Dow Village, South Oropouche, Trinidad and Tobago. Using this site means you accept these terms.
2. Placing an order
An order becomes a contract when we confirm it by email. Before then we may decline an order if:
- the item is out of stock or no longer available
- a price or description was clearly wrong
- the artwork infringes someone else's rights, or we consider the content unlawful or offensive
- the material is unsafe or unsuitable to engrave
- we cannot deliver to your address
If we decline after you have paid, you get a full refund.
3. Proofs and approval
We send a proof before engraving anything. You are responsible for checking spelling, names, dates and layout. Once you approve, we make it exactly as shown.
Personalised items cannot be refunded or returned after you approve the proof. Please see our Refund and Returns Policy for the full picture, including what happens if we make a mistake or your order arrives damaged.
4. Your artwork
When you send us a logo, image or design, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it. You remain the owner of your artwork; we use it only to make your order.
We will not reproduce trademarks, logos or copyrighted work belonging to someone else without evidence of permission. If a claim is brought against us because of artwork you supplied, you agree to cover the cost of dealing with it.
We may decline artwork we consider unlawful, hateful or offensive, at our discretion.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are in Trinidad and Tobago dollars (TTD). Prices in other currencies are conversions shown for convenience only; the amount you are charged is set in TTD.
A price adjustment may be added at checkout and is shown clearly before you pay. Shipping is added on top and, for international orders, is confirmed before we take payment.
We accept card payments, bank or wire transfer, PayPal, cryptocurrency where available, and cash on delivery within Trinidad and Tobago. Production begins once payment is received or, for cash on delivery, once your proof is approved.
We may correct a price that was displayed in obvious error, even after an order is placed. If that happens, you may cancel for a full refund.
6. Items you send us
We check any customer-owned item before engraving and tell you whether it is suitable. Engraving is permanent. Materials sometimes behave unexpectedly, and by sending us an item you accept that risk. If we damage your item through our own error, we will discuss fair compensation.
Items sent to us and not collected within 60 days of us telling you the work is done may be disposed of.
7. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. See our Shipping Policy. Risk passes to you when the order is delivered to the address you gave us.
8. Accounts
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account being used for fraud or abuse.
9. Product images
We try to show our work accurately, but screens vary and natural materials like wood and stone differ piece to piece. Small variations in grain, colour and finish are normal and are not faults.
10. Our liability
Where we are at fault, our liability is limited to the value of the order concerned. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or missed events.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights under the consumer protection laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
11. Things outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including equipment failure, power cuts, supply shortages, weather, industrial action or courier disruption. We will tell you promptly and work out a fair solution.
12. This website
Our designs, photographs, text and branding belong to us and may not be copied or reused without permission. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access, or extract data from it automatically.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
